How Kontain handles personal data when you use this service.
Who we are
The controller is the operator identified on the Legal notice page.
What we process
- Account details (email, name, password in hashed form)
- Business profile and preferences you save
- Clients, invoices, and related notes you enter
- Technical data needed to run and secure the service (session)
- Subscription and payment data handled by Stripe
Why we process it
- To provide the CRM (contract)
- To secure the account and prevent abuse (legitimate interest)
- To process subscriptions and payments (contract)
- To answer support requests (contract / legitimate interest)
- Where required by law (legal obligation)
Where data is stored
Application data is stored on our hosting infrastructure. Payment card details are processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers. Transfers outside the European Economic Area use safeguards under applicable data protection law.
How long we keep data
Account and CRM data while your account is active, then deleted or anonymised after account deletion except where the law requires longer retention. Security logs are kept for a limited period.

Sharing
We do not sell personal data. Processors (hosting, payment) only process data as needed to run the service.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or a copy of your data, and object where applicable. You may use Account → Export & backup and Delete account.
